$500,000 Hole in One Challenge
Qualify August 6th - September 4th, Final on September 10th, 2010
The Port Angeles Regional Chamber of Commerce and The Olympic Medical Center Foundation have teamed up to present this event as a fundraiser for both groups. Using four local courses consisting of: Cedars At Dungeness, Peninsula Golf Club, Sky Ridge, and Sunland Golf and Country Club the concept is simple. Each Friday and Saturday August 6-September 4 from roughly 11AM-5PM there will be a 100 yard hole set up on the driving range of each course. Using Callaway event logoed golf balls for $2 per ball, six for $10 or 14 for $20, participants will have an opportunity to try their skill at getting a hole in one. Anyone that does get an ace is automatically entered in the finals, which will take place at Peninsula Golf Club on September 10 at roughly 5PM. If no one gets a hole in one on any of the qualifying days then the person hitting closest to the pin that day goes to the final. Prizes will be awarded daily at each course to anyone that does make a hole in one during the qualifying round and also to the six closest to the pin shots.
The final hole in one challenge will be set up on number 18 at Peninsula Golf Club from a temporary tee box at 150 yards from the hole. At the final on September 10 the contestants* will have one swing for their chance to win the $500,000. Click here for more details. Black Ball Ferry Lines is a proud sponsor of this fundraising event.
