Olympic Peninsula 2-Day Winter Itinerary: Sip and Shop

Embark on a two-day getaway from Victoria, BC to Port Angeles, WA — Explore charming shops, sip on local wine or beer, and savor delicious meals! This itinerary strikes the perfect balance of relaxation and adventure, with ample of time to enjoy the scenic beauty of the Olympic Peninsula. From shopping in downtown Port Angeles to unwinding at a local hotel, this journey offers the ultimate escape!

Day One

10:30am: Depart from Victoria. We recommend taking the 10:30am sailing to maximize your time on the Olympic Peninsula.
If you are traveling in a vehicle, you must be at the terminal 90 minutes prior to your departure, or 30 minutes prior if you are traveling as a walk-on passenger.

12:00pm: Arrive in Port Angeles and go through US Customs.

12:15pm: Do some shopping in downtown Port Angeles — Some of our favorite stores include:

2:00pm: Sample some of Washington’s finest wines at PNWonderland Wines!
Whether you’re a seasoned connoisseur or a casual wine lover, the welcoming ambiance and knowledgeable staff at PNWonderland Wines make it a perfect spot to enjoy a curated selection of locally crafted wines.

More of a beer drinker? Embark on a self-guided craft beer adventure and sample a local beer from four different pubs in downtown Port Angeles. We recommend BarHop Brewing, Angeles Brewing and Mighty Pine Brewing.

2:30pm: Enjoy a late lunch at one of Port Angeles’ many restaurants. We recommend the following:

First Street Haven: 107 E 1st Street, 4-min walk from Black Ball's Port Angeles terminal.

4:00pm: Check in to your hotel — Browse hotel options here

5:30pm: Head into downtown Port Angeles for dinner. We suggest checking out the following:
Sabai Thai (903 W 8th Street): Cozy spot offering a large menu of curries, noodles & stir fries.
929 Woodfire Grill (929 W 8th Street): Casual tavern serving up wood-fired pizzas and BBQ.
Kokopelli Grill (203 E Front Street): Local favorite serving steak & seafood classics.

Day Two

11:00am: Check out of your hotel and make your way into downtown Port Angeles.

11:30am: Stroll along the Olympic Discovery Trail. The trail stretches for 92 miles, and can be accessed from Hollywood Beach, right by the Port Angeles Pier. The trail provides a great opportunity to take in the beauty of Washington’s expansive coastline. Plus, you can watch the COHO as it arrives in Port Angeles!

12:30pm: Before heading back home to Victoria, stop in for a bite to eat near the ferry terminal. We recommend the following:
Hook & Line Pub: 201 E Front Street, 4-min walk from Black Ball's Port Angeles terminal.
New Day Eatery: 102 W Front Street, 2-min walk from Black Ball's Port Angeles terminal.

2:00pm: Depart from Port Angeles.
If you are traveling in a vehicle, you must be at the terminal 60 minutes prior to your departure, or 30 minutes prior if you are traveling as a walk-on passenger.

3:30pm: Arrive in Victoria and go through Canada Customs.
